Mountain View Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Henderson is able to manage a wide range of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth, Jaws and Facial Regions. Dr. Henderson practices a full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise in Facial Cosmetic Enhancement, Corrective Jaw Surgery, Wisdom Tooth Removal, Facial Trauma, Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, Jaw Reconstruction and Surgical Dental Implant Procedures. All procedures are performed with minimally yet appropriate surgical intervention, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology with optimal patient care and comfort. Dr. Henderson can also diagnose facial injuries, including fractures of teeth and facial bones.
Dental Implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth which look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone loss that occurs when teeth are missing.
“Wisdom Teeth” or third molars are routinely the last teeth to develop and erupt. These teeth may first appear radiographically as early as age 12. As the last teeth to develop, they frequently become impacted. Impacted simply means something is obstructing the normal eruption path of a tooth.
At Mountain View Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Henderson offers different options for the removal of wisdom teeth including local anesthetic, Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) and IV Sedation/General Anesthesia – he is a current member of the American and California Society of Dental Anesthesiologists.
